Your Tasks:

● Operational purchasing of technical components including requirements planning and ordering

● Participation in the selection and evaluation of suppliers

● Direct contact for external suppliers and interface to internal departments

● Preparation of inquiries and orders as well as deadline tracking and complaint processing

● Maintenance of master data in our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics NAV)

● Independent or support in the collection, evaluation and active improvement of key figures on the performance of suppliers and the purchasing department

● Independent or supporting representation of purchasing in cross-departmental meetings and projects

● Representation of colleagues in the production and purchasing department

● Introduction of a Kanban-based purchasing system

● Active implementation of the requirements of the quality system for purchasing

Your Profile:   

● Successfully completed commercial training or comparable studies, e.g. in the field of industrial engineering, business administration or comparable degree

● First to relevant professional experience in purchasing, in particular experience in the procurement of production materials from the fields of mechanics, electronics and electromechanics is an advantage

● Experience in working in cross-functional teams is an advantage

● Safe handling of common MS Office programs as well as an ERP system (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365)

● Strong team and communication skills, negotiation skills and assertiveness

● Independent, analytical and solution-oriented way of working

● Fluent German and good to very good written and spoken English

Position: (Sr.) Development Chemical Engineer / Toxicologist


Job Objective:

Interact with all aspects of the product development functions of existing products and new products from cradle to grave.


Main Tasks:

● Responsibility for design tasks in R&D team

● Become BME’s Hazardous Material / Chemical Safety Officer

● Assume internal Biocompatibility & Sterilization ISO Standard expert

● Technical and organizational lead of design engineers

● Development of design requirements in close cooperation with clinical users and technical specialists

● Selection and technical supervision of suppliers, service providers and other process partners

● Preparation of technical documentation according to valid specifications

● Participation in the transfer of development results into production

● Assumption of project or sub-project responsibility

● Support of innovation management

● Support QA – Assist in complaint reviews

● Execution of special tasks and projects as directed by supervisor



● Successful completed chemical engineering, toxicologist or comparable

● Experience in biocompatibility and sterilization preparation and testing

● Extensive project and design experience, preferably in medical device technology

● Leadership experience, experienced in leading through discussions and conflicts

● Strong communication skills, organizational talent, and high sense of responsibility

● Command of modern development methods such as creativity techniques, QFD, utility analysis is preferable

● Experienced in using CAD programs (esp. SolidEdge, AutoCAD)

● Interested in innovative solutions, and strong analytical thinking skills

● Independent and goal-oriented way of working

● Good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
